Lost wax casting is a traditional and widely used technique in jewellery making. Learn to carve your design in jewellers wax, and understand the fascinating process of how it will be cast in metal.
We will spend some time designing your piece together, and you can choose from a range of blocks, and two different types of wax including a soft wax for more fluid and organic forms.
There are some limits as to what you can make with wax, if you have any queries about this, please contact hello@tillysudsbury.com to find out more.
All materials will be provided, and no experience is necessary.
We always provide some snacks and drinks to make this a relaxed, fun environment.
By the end of the class, your piece will be completed. Lead times are currently 6-7 weeks.

Your pendant cast in recycled sterling silver - from £50
this is extra and includes polishing by us

Chains are an optional addition. We will have a selection of chains available for you to choose from, so you can choose the one that fits your pendant best, and the length you prefer.
Casting in gold - dependent on weight

It’s helpful if you send in reference images and rough dimensions so we can offer an idea of costs.

Gold plating - £50
*If your piece weighs over 10g in silver there will be an extra charge that is determined by the weight of your finished ring. This cost is £10 per every 5g.
